The National Resource Center for Coordination

Coordination

Are you trying to improve the linkages between public transportation and human services in your state or community? We have people, resources and partnerships that can help you improve these connections?

Our National Resource Center for Human Service Transportation Coordination is operated by the Community Transportation Association under a cooperative agreement with the Federal Transit Administration.

United We Ride Coordination Ambassadors

UWR Ambassadors

The Ambassadors are your first point of contact on public transit-human service transportation coordination questions.

They are experienced professionals, who are dedicated to helping states and communities find the solutions to their coordinated transportation challenges and opportunities.

There are ten Ambassadors, each one assigned to a particular federal region.

On-Line Information and Resources

The National Resource Center helps you get the information you need to improve public transit-human services transportation coordination in your state or community.

This information includes:

The National Resource Center also publishes two electronic newsletters on a monthly basis:

  • Capitol Clips, which provides up-to-date reporting and analysis on significant federal legislative or regulatory actions
  • Tappy Grams, which connects you with the most current reports and literature that are in the field of coordinated public transit and human services transportation.

Our Partnerships Help You

The National Resource Center works with other programs, activities and organizations to help make sure that states and communities everywhere can achieve the transportation results they're seeking.

  • We are linked to the federal United We Ride initiative, which brings together eleven federal departments and agencies with a shared interest in promoting coordinated transportation services.
  • We are part of a network of national Technical Assistance centers, each of whom can offer some help along the way as your state or community seeks its transportation solutions.
  • We are part of the National Consortium on the Coordination of Human Services Transportation, which is a coalition of nearly 30 national organizations all working together to promote improved transportation and mobility options for all Americans.
